Bali Beach Walks with Breakfast Stops

Bali beach walks

Cabina Bali

One of the best ways to start a Bali day is a walk on the beach. This is made even better with the addition of food and coffee. Here are some of our favourite spots to park, wander, and feast.

Bali Beach Walks

La Lucciola – Photo via The Beat Bali

Start at: Petitenget Temple

Head south and drop into Ku De Ta for brekkie (a little-known secret that it’s open so early), or do your walk then stop by La Lucciola or Mano Seaside (which is dog-friendly) afterwards for a feed. All of these options are beachfront, which become less common as you head north up the coast.

Bali Beach Walks

The Spicy Coconut

Start at: Batu Belig

The cafes to the south from Petitenget are also options from here, the real food stars in this area are up on Batu Belig though. The Spicy Coconut is a vegetarian favourite. A little further in you can find Watercress, home of Revolver Coffee and one of the best BLTs around (a lifesaver if you’re walking off a hangover). Another option is Cabina Bali where you can make your friends at home jealous with a floating breakfast.

Bali Beach Walks

Matcha Cafe

Start at: Finns Parking/Jalan Pantai Berawa

Again, the best coffee spots are slightly in from the beach. All are walkable from the beach heading inland on Jalan Pantai Berawa. Ruko has excellent pastries and coffee. Further along, the newest cafe on the block – Two Trees, has one of the best bircher muesli’s we’ve tried (Bali or anywhere) and a variety of colourful and highly Instagrammable lattes. Matcha Cafe has, you guessed it – Matcha options galore (along with some others for those not so hot on the green stuff).

Bali Beach Walks

Fika Cafe

Start at: Batu Bolong/Old Man’s

Old Man’s is a pleasant spot to start/finish a walk. Get the coffee takeaway and sit on the beach steps watching the many (many) surfers. Other options further down Jalan Batu Bolong include Lacalita where you can find an amazing breakfast burrito or Fika for some Scandinavian cafe style.

Another option is to walk north on the beach to Echo area (keep in mind this is more accessible when the tide is low) and stop into Echo’s new hot spot La Brisa, open from 9am.
