Bali’s Best Gyms

The wellness movement is strong in Bali, these are some of our favourite places to sweat.

Motion Fitness

Motion Fitness; a Bali institution, has just undergone a slick new rebrand. Luckily the class schedule remains the one we know and love, with the founder Melanie making sure everyone works up a sweat on a regular basis. Plus nothing keeps the motivation up like being surrounded by off-duty models.

F45 Seminyak

Get in, smash out 45 minutes of hard work, and get out (or, let’s be honest, hang around for a stretch and chat). We love this new addition to the Bali gym selection (especially after hearing everyone in Australia rave about it). The vibe is friendly and the trainers make everyone feel welcome, no matter the fitness level.

Fortitude have brought Crossfit out of the ricefelds of Canggu and into the heart of Seminyak’s Jalan Petitenget. They have plenty of daily corrssfit and other classes, and their facility is top notch, with change rooms equipped with private showers, lockers, and even blowdryers. With all this going for it, it will be getting very hard to find an excuse not to hit the gym.

Canggu Studio

This Canggu gym offers a wide variety of classes in a well-designed two-story space. From Barre Pilates to Muay Thai, there’s something for everything. Even croissant lovers (yes, they have a croissant menu, consider yourself warned).

Crossfit Wanderlust

Located in a warehouse space that could fit several small aircraft, CrossFit Wanderlust doesn’t mess around when it comes to training. Resident coach Dave Driskell will leave no muscle untoned. Might be good to book the next day massage in advance….

S2S Crossfit

Another Canggu CrossFit option! These guys offer train and stay packages if you want a one-stop holiday shop. They also are the makers of Fitmeals, a fantastic healthy pre-packaged meal service which Bali badly needs. Because nothing kills a post workout high like a massive nasi goreng.

Come for the slick new machines, stay for the sauna and pool. Soham is a more “traditional” fitness centre, and a pleasant place to set yourself up on a treadmill if that’s what floats your boat.
