WHY
We launched The Dose Bali in late 2015 with the purpose of offering vitamin IV therapy on Indonesia’s tropical island of Bali. While IVs initially became infamous as a hangover cure, the wellness and therapeutic benefits of vitamin drips are becoming more and more popular.
To accommodate the unique needs of our Bali patients, we have created IVs to treat symptoms from Dengue fever, food poisoning, fatigue and hangovers. It was important to us that our treatments match the quality and service of those offered in western countries, so we formulated our packages with the help of an experienced doctor, and created in-house guidelines in this emerging Indonesian field that match international healthcare guidelines.
We are proud to be Bali’s first and leading mobile IV therapy provider and to have been serving the Bali community and its visitors for over a year now.

ABOUT IV THERAPY
Elective vitamin IV therapy is a relatively new phenomenon. One of the original IVs, the Meyer’s Cocktail has been available since the 1970s. Its efficacy in treating asthma symptoms, depression, and relieving chronic pain1 and fatigue have been well-studied and documented2. The newer generation of IV therapies are still being researched.
In certain cases, the use of a vitamin IV is the same, if not superior to a hospital’s treatment of a condition (severe dehydration and electrolyte imbalance arising from food poisoning or hangover symptoms). The evidence to support elective IVs for general fatigue, low energy and anti-aging purposes is at this point mostly anecdotal, however new studies are emerging every year (such as this recent randomized trial which concluded IV Ringer’s Lactate hydration to be an effective reducing the occurrence of post-endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) pancreatitis3). IVs are also growing in use by athletic doctors and medical spas due to their impressive results in hydration, vitamin delivery and aesthetic benefits.

One reason for these results is that the vitamin absorption rate when administered intravenously, is far higher than when taken orally. In some cases (for example with glutathione and the gut) there is a high systemic barrier to absorption, so IV or IM is a far more effective method of delivery.
If patients have concerns about how an IV will work with their medical condition (especially around personalised recommended daily vitamin dosages and treatment schedule), we recommend they consult their physician before trying one. However for the average healthy individual IVs are extremely safe. Contact us today if you have any questions about which package is best for you.
